Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Avery Sunshine has been a hit across the globe. Sunshine was born Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church where she sang and performed piano. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. She became the primary piano player for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls which was a stage production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by the nation during daily performances of four at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be invited to sing for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
