Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy (born on 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress. She is a regular in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress as the actor Savitri for her role in the Telugu movie Mahanati (2018). In addition, she has received three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar's parents are film producer G. Suresh Kumar & actor Menaka G. Suresh. The career of Keerthy began in the 2000s, as a young actor. She returned into the industry of film following her study of the field of fashion. Her debut lead part in the 2013 Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In 2015, Keerthy accepted her first films outside of Malayalam and signed on to appear in several Tamil films at the same time. In the year 2015, she debuted A. A. Vijay's romantic comedies Idhu Enna Maayam and Vikramprabhu in opposition to each other. The films were not a success in cinemas. In order to fit in bigger projects, she had to cancel films that she'd started working on. These included Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Kavalaivendam by Deekay. The actress was in two films that came out in quick succession, with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also one of the main actors for Prabhu's Thodari. It was delayed from 2015 with reports that the film will release after September in 2020 with the name of Janakitho Nenu. In 2016, Nenu Sailaja which starred Ram Pothineni, was her debut.
